GATE Summit 2025 by WHO Officially Postponed
The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that the GATE Summit 2025 by WHO Officially Postponed and will not happen on May 7 to 8 as planned. The event has been postponed to a later date. This summit is an important meeting that focuses on helping more people around the world get assistive technology.
The GATE program (Global Cooperation on Assistive Technology) helps over one billion people who need special tools like wheelchairs, hearing aids, artificial limbs (prosthetics) and devices to help them talk. The goal of the summit was to bring together doctors, health leaders, inventors and people who support disability rights to share ideas, make better plans and work together.
WHO has not given an exact reason for the delay. But reports say it might be because of timing problems and other big health events happening at the same time. WHO will share the new date for the summit soon. This delay is a small problem for those who were getting ready to attend. Still WHO believes that waiting a little longer will help more people join and make the summit even more successful.
The GATE Summit program is still going strong. It remains one of WHO’s most important efforts to help people with disabilities get the tools they need. The delay does not stop any of the work already happening through the program.
People who planned to attend the summit should check WHO’s website and social media for news. Even though the event is postponed the global health community still supports the mission and is looking forward to the new date.
